You Protect Your E-mail, Why Not Your Phone?

These days, if you have a smartphone, you’re carrying a small computer packed full of personal details around in your pocket. If something were to happen to it, would you want that data accessible to anyone who had it?

These are just a few reasons to keep a lock screen on your phone:

  • To avoid pocket dialing friends and family
  • To prevent unwanted prying into your personal details
  • To make sure your phone is only being used by those you authorize
  • In case your phone is ever lost or stolen

In addition to a lock screen, you may also want to look into encrypting the storage on your personal phone so that even if it gets physically plugged into a computer and copied, the data is still unreadable to anyone who doesn’t have your lock code.
