Is Your Password All Too Common?
Despite years of being told we should have strong and unique passwords, people are still using predictable patterns to secure access to their online lives.
Password cracking tools can guess passwords that are six characters long in seconds, especially if they are using sequential characters. These same tools will also guess the most common passwords, as well as dictionary words.
Remember to always use different passwords for different sites and services rather than repeating a password. This keeps all of your accounts from being compromised if one of them is breached. To assist with this, a password vault (such as LastPass) is highly recommended.
